Habitat University

  • Habitat-focused courses for private landowners, chapters, contractors, and land managers.

  • These courses give you the inside scoop on habitat and only take 15-45 minutes to complete!

  • From "Fire as Fertilizer" to "CRP Essentials: An Introduction to the Conservation Reserve Program," courses take students step-by-step through their habitat projects and what to consider when starting their conservation journey.

  • Students can explore targeted learning pathways through groups of related courses that build on one another and support specific habitat goals and management interests.

  • Habitat University also houses webinar-based learning opportunities, including the Working Lands for Wildlife webinar series focused on pollinators, bobwhites, grazing systems, and other habitat topics.

  • Look for new courses and content each Winter and Summer as Habitat University continues to grow.

Habitat University PRO

  • The HU Pro version targets conservation professionals and aspiring conservation professionals in post-secondary education committed to professional development and delivering conservation technical assistance to the public.

  • From "Economics of Conservation" to "Working with Landowner's: Outreach Events", HU Pro courses are built to strengthen practical skills in conservation delivery.

  • Course content ranges from introductory to advanced and is developed by experienced conservation practitioners and partner organizations.

  • Look for NEW Pro courses every Winter, Spring, and Fall.
