Learn to Shoot Grants

Through Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever's Path to the Uplands initiative, our Education and Outreach team is able to provide financial assistance and training for chapters to engage new audiences through our adult Learn to Shoot experiences.

Through Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever's Path to the Uplands initiative, our Education and Outreach team is able to provide financial assistance and training for chapters to engage new audiences through our adult Learn to Shoot experiences.

These grants are provided as a reimbursement for 50% of event expenses up to $500. Chapters must apply at least 2 weeks prior to the event date to be approved. Grant applications will be reviewed by PF and QF staff and you will be notified about the status of your application within two weeks of submitting your application.

Program Criteria

  • Participants at the event must be 18 years or older.

  • Chapter event organizers must adhere to all insurance requirements in the PF & QF Firearm Event Insurance Guide.

  • The event must be created and participants must be registered electronically in the Upland Events Platform.

  • Chapter must submit photos & videos of the event along with event expense receipts within 30 days of event completion.

Learn to Shoot Grant Checklist

1. Complete the Grant Application

Submit the grant application at least two weeks prior to the event date. Applications will be reviewed by PF staff and you will be notified about the status of your application within two weeks of submitting your application.

2. Plan Your Event

After you have received word that you will receive funding for your event, go through the Guide to Hosting: Learn to Shoot (LTS) Events, the PF & QF Firearm Event Insurance Guide and other program resources to plan and conduct a successful event.

3. Reporting
